About Dominique Watts
Dominique Watts (E-RYT 500)
Dominique has been teaching since 2010 and has her E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance teaching certification through the University of Utah and Prana Yoga. Dominique has found yoga to be a healthy approach to life’s challenges and an opportunity to connect with others in the community, and wants to share this with her students. Her goal as a teacher is to reach students of all backgrounds, ages, sizes, and abilities. Classes are mixed level and can include both Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga styles. She thanks her greatest teaching influences: Bob Hoffa, Scott Moore, D'ana Baptiste, and Vicki Yost.
Personal benefits: Yoga has helped me find adaptability, in not just my body, but my mind also. I have become less rigid mentally and physically. It forces me to deal with challenges head on, in the moment, instead of ruminating for a long time, or engaging in escapist behaviors (eating sweets, distracting myself with entertainment). It clears the clutter from my head. It gives permission for some "me" time to sort things out.
